Ramadan is the month of the Quran
Our need is great at all times, especially in the month of Ramadan, to engage in reciting and memorizing the Quran and contemplating the verses of the Quran, in which there is guidance, light, mercy and tranquility, and they are verses that purify our souls, heal our hearts, guide our life, illuminate our path, and bring down upon us mercy, blessings, and guidance.

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. May Allah's peace, blessings, and salutations be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. Praise be to Allah in the beginning and praise be to Allah in the end. Praise be to Allah at first and praise be to Allah at the last. Praise be to Allah outwardly and praise be to Allah inwardly.
Praise be to Allah in times of ease and praise be to Allah in times of hardship. Praise be to Allah in the morning and praise be to Allah in the evening. Praise be to Allah on earth and praise be to Allah in the heavens.
Praise be to Allah, the Most Gracious. Praise be to Allah, who taught the Quran. Praise be to Allah, who created mankind. Praise be to Allah, who taught us clear expression.
Praise be to Allah, who has allowed us to reach Ramadan.
O Allah, just as You have allowed us to reach Ramadan, bless us in it and help us with prayer, fasting, night prayers, and recitation of the Quran.
O Allah, just as You have allowed us to reach Ramadan, do not let us leave it except with forgiven sins and accepted deeds.
O Allah, just as You have allowed us to reach Ramadan, do not let us leave it except with our necks freed from the Fire, and make us among those accepted and successful in this world and the hereafter.
We praise Allah for reaching Ramadan because merely reaching this month is a great blessing and a noble wish that deserves praise and gratitude. Therefore, Muslims throughout the months preceding Ramadan used to pray to Allah to let them reach Ramadan.
This is because Ramadan is a month in which good deeds are multiplied, ranks are raised, bad deeds are erased, sins and slips are forgiven, necks are freed from the Fire, and hearts turn to the love of the Most Gracious.
Ramadan is a great month, a blessed month, the best of all months, because the Quran was revealed in it. In it, mercies, blessings, and forgiveness descend, in it is a night better than a thousand months, and other great virtues and blessings.
The month of Ramadan gained its greatness and superiority because Allah revealed the Quran in it. Allah Almighty said: "The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion."1 (Quran 2:185)
Turning to the Quran, reciting it, memorizing it, reflecting on it, learning it, and acting upon it is among the best of deeds in this blessed and good time, to make our lives with the Book of Allah, with the Holy Quran.
We turn to the Quran while we seek to achieve the goal of fasting, which is to reach the status of piety. For the pious are those who benefit from the Quran and are guided by the Quran, as Allah Almighty said: "This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah" (Quran 2:2).
